Denton County growth1.88 million

Projected residents by 2050

The county had about 1.07 million residents in 2025. Regional planners project about 1.88 million by 2050, an increase of roughly 810,000 people. The candidates elected now will help decide whether roads, water, schools, courts, and emergency services keep up.

What kind of event is this?

Most of the afternoon is for direct talks at candidate tables. Voters can ask what the office does, what you would change, and how your choices would affect life in Denton County.

Will there be a town hall or speeches?

For selected top-of-ticket races, if both candidates attend, the current plan is a moderated question period with the same format and up to 20 minutes for each candidate. If only one candidate in that race attends, the current plan is 5 to 8 minutes for brief remarks. The final stage schedule depends on confirmed RSVPs and will be shared before the event.

Why is the event the day before early voting?

The event is Sunday, October 18. Early voting starts Monday, October 19. The timing gives voters a chance to meet candidates and ask questions before voting begins. Check the state election calendar

How many candidates and voters are expected?

The public list currently shows 19 confirmed candidates and is updated as replies arrive. Free attendee RSVPs are still open, so there is no final crowd count yet. See the candidate list or open attendee reservations.

Will news outlets or interviews be there?

The organizers plan to invite local news outlets as the confirmed candidate list grows. Coverage and on-site interviews are up to each newsroom, so they cannot be promised.

Can I send a video if I cannot attend?

Use the contact form to ask about a short video greeting. Playback depends on the final schedule, available time, and a fair format for candidates in the same race, so it cannot be guaranteed.

What does my campaign need to provide?

The RSVP asks whether the candidate will attend and how many staff members will come. We use those answers to plan table space. Final arrival, setup, and stage details will be sent to confirmed campaigns before the event.
